The new SOE regulations require certifiers to report contact information to the Organic Integrity Database (OID) for each operation that they certify.
Historically, OneCert has reported the following information to the Organic Integrity Database (OID), per the completed Initial Application and/or Annual Update Form (AUF). With the implementation of the Strengthening Organic Enforcement (SOE) Rule, some of this contact information will also be displayed on Organic Certificates generated by the OID:
- Name: The first & last name of the Primary Contact is displayed under the “Contact Information” on the Operation Profile attached to the OID Certificate. The first & last name of the Primary Contact is not displayed under the name of the certified operation on the OID Certificate.
- Phone: The business phone number of the operation is displayed under the “Contact Information” on the Operation Profile and under the name of the certified operation on the OID Certificate.
- Email: The email of the Primary Contact is displayed under the “Contact Information” on the Operation Profile and under the name of the certified operation on the OID Certificate.
- Website: The operation’s website is displayed under the “Contact Information” on the Operation Profile and under the name of the certified operation on the OID Certificate.
- Address: The operation’s physical and mailing address (if applicable) is displayed under the “Contact Information” on the Operation Profile and under the name of the certified operation on the OID Certificate.
We understand that the contact information for a Primary Contact chosen to communicate with OneCert on behalf of an operation may differ from the contact information that you may want to have displayed publicly on the OID and the OID Certificate. OneCert has introduced a “Public Contact” option to address this concern. OneCert clients can choose what contact information they want to display on their OID Certificate by identifying a “Public Contact”. This contact may be the Primary Contact, another already existing authorized contact, or a new contact that you wish to add. By choosing a “Public Contact” you are able to change the Name, Phone and Email that is displayed on the OID. The website and address will remain the same as these are related to the business and not an individual person.
If you wish to update your contact information or identify a “Public Contact” visit your client portal to download a copy of your Annual Update Form (AUF) to update and submit via email to info@onecert.com.
